2019 Dodge Charger Not-So-Good Future Condition

Posted on

What is happening to the future 2019 Dodge Charger? Dodge has come up with a plan before and yet they are said to cancel it altogether, creating a production delay in the overall structure and construction. It should be natural that any major changes will create a delay that may affect everything, up to the production stage. And it seems that what happens to the Chrysler Fiat Auto.

The Current News

Fiat is said to cancel their plan of designing the Charger and also Challengers with Giorgio Alfa Romeo’s design, which has been used for the Stelvio and Giulia. There hasn’t been any confirmation for the reason for such cancelation. However, these muscle brothers will be built on Maserati’s base and platform, which has been adopted by the M157 or the Ghibli.  The M157 alone is the shorter version from M156 that is used for Maserati Quattroporte.

For some people, it may seem like a good news, but not so for the production department. Previously set as the 2020 model, now it is likely that the 2019 Dodge Charger will remain as the 2019 model but will be coming in 2021 – or so the predicted date. This is not a good scheme, especially since Fiat has the 5 year strategy production that was released in 2014. The time line was correct but not with the real implementation. This will definitely affect Fiat and its reputation, especially if Charger has been expected by many.

The Positive Updates

Despite the production delay, you can expect some significant improvement for the Charger. Included within the updated changes, the better fuel efficiency and also weight reduction. The same changes are happening to the Chrysler 300, with the possibility of Hellcat pick.

Aside from the upcoming 2019 Dodge Charger, the Challenger convertible may not hear the positive end. There hasn’t been any positive update so far, and if Fiat is going with the Maserati’s platform, it is unknown whether it works well for the open top construction. But Dodge Journey is still going through the production stage, inspired by the Stelvio. The Durango is also underway, ready for the 2019 launch. This SUV with three row management is going to have a pair with the Cherokee.

Price and Release Date

Up until now, there hasn’t any official release about the price or the release date. Hopefully, the company is doing their best to come up with the future 2019 Dodge Charger that won’t disappoint anyone.
